Right I been heavily thinking about this ever since the Shoutbox got removed. And I have spoken with Thanatos about this greatly.
In my eyes the forum is pretty much dead and im not the only one to think this.
One reason to think this is we are quite a weak community. This is pretty much like the LPA all over again but just with more people here the same mistakes have pretty much been made. Things for the forums are being changed without discussions for it with the rest of the community (Shoutbox is an example here and talking to only one other person about it is not something to go with).
So I say we all need to discuss this properly. Not just admins or mods or a few people but everyone that comes here. Give ideas on how this can be saved as the forums seem pretty much screwed to me. We need to become a stronger community!

we need to have a streaming schedule if you ask me, not many of us stream that much anymore which makes it a weaker community

Yeah, I've realised that streaming times aren't made very clear or well advertised, the last stream that everyone took part in was the 48 hour one. (Still waiting for best bits... ;D) I think the problem is that exams are soon for most people, like gcses and.. whatever exams american/canadians take. (Srsly, i have no idea what they're called) I'm lucky in that I dont have any more exams, but I haven't felt like streaming for a while. Too much going on irl to think about that, which is effecting my lp's too.
But anyway yeah, more discussion is needed, and more involving the community, maybe more contests (not just for games, but other stuff too) Have more co-op lps with people and advertise every so often for the new subscribers that might want to get into lping or just discuss games.

Co-Op LP's never really went that well in the LPA... (i.e. Minecraft) so I'm kinda cautious of the whole co-op LP's thing but I only got one Exam left so GCSE's aren't a problem atm

Streaming as been said is a problem. But for now its only a minor one compared to the community we have right now.
I agree on everything being said so far. But also they not good because they not really going to help but just delay I think. We need to form together as a better community then what we have been.

A teamspeak 3 server might help. Think of it like a skype call which will always be up and anybody can join. The one I have in my other community is hugely successful. Problem is that would take even more attention from the forums. And it needs a server to run it.
Also like nathan said, a streaming schedule might also be a good idea.

I think Brett mentioned it as an idea but didn't really get anywhere for it. As hell said it also take more attention away from the forums which is what we don't want.

There was a channel made for the GU, and it's intended use was for community co-op LPs, contests, etc... But it was never really used. I think we should actually use it. Here's the link: www.youtube.com/user/GamersUndivided

And, Skype Calls, They've been a problem, I was watching someone co-op lps and someones skype kept dying, and skype takes up a lot of CPU and Memory. So its a pain for people like me. xD

Hmm. There is another option if the forums and/or community keeps dying. But it should probably be a last resort. A merge with another community. This community may lose its sense of identity but it could continue to function as a whole. There are a few different ways that it could happen, each with its own pros and cons. But as I said, it should be considered as a last resort only and I probably shouldn't go into details until we reach that point.
