It doesn't have to be a series of books, perhaps a stand alone book that you really enjoyed.
I'll write you a list of books I've really enjoyed, beginning to end.
(Warning, this could be a big list.)
- The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
- Harry Potter by J K Rowling
- Eragon series by Christopher Paolini (excuse the wrongness)
- Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
- Heroes of Olympus - Rick Riordan
- Kane Chronicles - Rick Riordan
- Chronicles of Narnia - C S Lewis
- Septimus Heap series by Angie sage
- Hush Hush and Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick
- Before I fall (I think thats it) by Lauren (something. ill check the name later)
(This is subject to change is I finish I am number four or Incubus)
The first two, should be obvious, Harry Potter is the first series of books I read to death as a child, really becoming a huge nerd about it and it's what really got me into reading (Apart from those books at school you used to read.. I always like Jennifer one.. I think she was yellow. but that was my first proper favourite book)
(Im gunna go all explainitory so beware) Harry Potter really opened up a whole new world too me, and through it I discovered new things and understood other things. It's hard to explain really.
But the Hunger games, (which is becoming a film, so any who are interested by what I say about this, GET IT BEFORE THE FILM IN 2012). Now the Hunger Games, are set in a post apocalyptic world, in America which is know known as Panem, and follows a girl called Katniss through her young life (I'm sure you'll be able to find a plot better than that) But its called the Hunger games for a reason, children are picked from 12 districts and fight to the death, the last child standing wins their district years of food and wealth, as you could guess, Districts 1 - 3 are well off, being close to the Capitol, and the others get less wealthy as they go on. Katniss is from 12.
As a series of books, it actually made me cry a few times, it really is a different book. Online I found a fan made soundtrack for all the books (hes working on the third one) and funnily enough, they match the books. I'll link the first two book soundtracks here.
I definitely recommend reading Hunger Games, if you haven't already.
Anyone wanna say? ;D Dont let me sit here rambling to myself.
